The Vision
Check out "about us" page to learn more about our vision!
Welcome to the River City House of Prayer
***Preparing the Earth and the Bride for the return of Jesus***
About us
Who we are
We are a portion of the Bride of Christ called to the House of Prayer assigned to prepare the way for the Lord’s return. We do this through a variety of consecrated methods
:Passion for Jesus, Worship, Corporate Prayer, Corporate Intercession, Prophecy, Impartation, Teaching and Equipping, Diligent Study, Private Devotion.
We are lovers of Jesus and we take loving Him seriously (Psalms 27:4). We seek to live out and honor the first commandment (Mark 12:30) in our lives. We also seek to embody the characteristics given to us by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (See RcHop Core Values) each day.
Our Vision
[Simply put: Our vision is Jesus.]
Our vision is to see Jesus exalted in all and above all things (Col 1: 16-18).
Our vision is to see the immaculate worth of Jesus fully recognized in His Body, in Israel and in the world (Rev 4: 10-11).
Our vision is for a revelation of Jesus to be freshly released over the Body and that it would spur absolute passion for total obedience to the Man Jesus (Eph 1; 17-19).
Our vision is to see the body fully take on the priestly mantle and minister to the Lord as they did in the Tabernacle of David (Eze 44:16).
Our vision is to see the Saints worshipping and praying to God day and night, filling the bowls in heaven (Rev 4:8).
What We Beleive
WE BELIEVE the Bible is the true and finished inspired word of God. It is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live. (1Tim 3:16, 2Peter 1:20,21)
WE BELIEVE salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No activity on the part of man is required or accepted in order to be saved. The saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. True faith is of the heart and not just the mind (Rom. 10:10). God’s purpose in requiring faith for salvation is to raise our focus and concentration above the temporal to the One who is eternal. Therefore, the gospel that is able to save souls must be preached in the power of the Spirit of God. The gospel is not dependent upon human eloquence or persuasion that may change minds but cannot change hearts. Only the Spirit of God can reveal the Son of God, and only the Son of God can reveal the Father.
WE BELIEVE the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and equips His people for godly living and service.
WE BELIEVE signs, wonders and the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operating today and are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission.
WE BELIEVE the Church is God’s primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. God has given us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
WE BELIEVE that God has called the Church to preach the Gospel to all nations, and to especially remember and minister to the needs of the poor, widows and orphans through sacrificial giving and practical service.
**We hold these theological truths as valuable and useful in our pursuit of God. These truths shape our community and our programs. However, we do understand that not everyone who participates in River City House of Prayer in San Antonio will adhere to this exactly. We will not allow ANY theological argument to be an excuse for not pursuing God wholeheartedly or not expressing the Father’s love to others.
Core Values
RcHop is seeking to live out the values given to us by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (See Mt 5-7). Our success in the sight of God as a ministry will be the degree to which each individual is seeking to live these things out daily. “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Mt 5:48)
-Poor in Spirit
-Hunger and thirsting for righteousness
-Create thirst in non-believers
-Light of Christ shining through us
-Teach and obey the commandments
-Refrain from anger, name calling and violent outbursts
-Not resist evil (done by others toward you)
-Go the extra mile with people
-Love your enemies and those who oppose God
-Giving, prayer, fasting be done to God and not for show
-Set our heart on heaven and amass treasures there
-Eyes would be full of light
-Refrain from worry and trust God's provision
-Judge ourselves, not others
-Be on the road to the narrow gate.
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

LEADER
First of all I am so glad you took the time to stop by our page! While you're here let me share a little about myself. I was saved through a sovereign move of God in February 2002 in Utica, New York during my sophomore year of college. After a “Saul-like” conversion, I have sought to do only one thing with my life…to apprehend the God who apprehended me that day.
This journey has taken me many fantastic and unexpected places such as Africa on Missions work, The Holy Land, many wonderful churches and conferences and an old garage (You’ll have to ask me about it sometime). I have had the privilege of serving the Lord in the House of Prayer movement since 2007 in the Northeast United States and now in San Antonio, Texas. I live in San Antonio with my wife Lydia and our three children Lilly, Noah and Jonah. My prayer is that God would continue to raise up Houses of Prayer and Praying Church ministries until the entire globe is ablaze with passion, holiness, and desire for Jesus to return for His prepared Bride and to cleanse and restore the earth.
Feel Free to E-mail me at
Nathan@RCHOP.ORG I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you face to face in a place of worship.
Give
}Keep the fire buring
At River City House of Prayer, we believe that generous giving is an act of worship to God (Mt 2:11, Phil 4:18). We worship God with our giving and encourage you, our dear friends, to do the same.
Thank you for giving to keep the fire burning at RCHOP.
We are currently in a period of transition and as a result our financial allocations are under development. However, we
ARE currently excepting your tax deductible donations to help keep the fire burning at RCHOP. When you make your donations they will be used to meet the area of greatest need within the House of Prayer. As the Lord continues to build His house of prayer, our financial goals will grow in volume and vision. We look forward to this!!!
Remember the promise of God, “
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” God bless you as you give. We pray that as you do, the fire of the Most High will rest and burn upon your hearts in Jesus’ name!!!
In His Peace,
